For travelers with flights departing from Haikou Airport, the express train from Sanya to Haikou Meilan Airport provides an excellent option, allowing them to savor the scenic beauty along the east or west coast of Hainan Island. The east coastline, although shorter, offers its own unique charm.
Daily loop trains facilitate journeys around Hainan Island, enabling tourists to book tickets for a complete loop from Sanya to Sanya. Operating from early morning at 6:30 am until 10:20 pm, these trains are in high demand, necessitating advance online ticket reservations.
How to Book Hainan High-Speed Rail/Bullet Train Tickets:
When booking Hainan high-speed train tickets, it is essential to provide a copy of your passport. Reservations are open up to 7 days in advance, pending final confirmation. Upon confirming your reservation with passport details, a confirmation letter containing your booking details will be emailed to you. As all tickets are electronic, there’s no need to collect paper tickets after receiving the booking confirmation. Your booking reference and cabin/seats information will be detailed in the confirmation.
After passing through security checks, you’ll check in for the train using your passports. Remember to use the gates designated for passport holders. Once checked in, your seat numbers will be displayed on the screen. In case of any difficulty finding your cabin and seats, present your booking reference to the staff.
Child Rate:
- Children under 1.2 meters travel free with parents but without a designated seat.
- Children between 1.2 and 1.5 meters receive a 50% discount on regular prices.
- Children over 1.5 meters are charged the adult rate.
For children traveling free without a designated seat, it is advisable to purchase a child ticket if you prefer your child to have their own seat.
Refund Policy:
Refund requests must be submitted at least 2 hours before departure, with a 20% refund fee on the ticket cost.
Amendment Policy:
Amendments to the departure time on the same day train within 2 hours after the original departure time are free of charge but limited to one change.
